HRs mostly very often are seen struggling with keeping employees happy. A number of techniques like rewards, recognitions, casual interactions and appraisal of course are used as some methods to fulfil the goal. And yet, except for the appraisal month, the employees are found to be stressed, sluggish and often uninterested. We, with HRs, do employee engagement and team building activities.

What makes your employees happy?

The first thing that would come to our minds reading this is - salary and incentives. We here fail to acknowledge that salary is just the compensation being paid for someone's work. Making an employee would mean adding value to their lives.

There are many ways to add value to an employee's life and not just their time at office.

We, at TeamWork India believe that your employees are your most important customers. Not just this, it is the employees that act as a medium between the management and customers so making sure that this gap is being filled, we have come up with some suggestions for you.

Today, we are going to talk about the holy grails of human resource professionals:

Team Building and Training Programs

( The two Ts)

These two are the most effective techniques when it comes to a better work experience. Through employee engagement and team building activities we focus on the following :

E - Educate

M - Motivate

P- Productivity

L - Lively

O - Optimism

Y - Yielding

E - Energise

E - Evaluate

When it comes to team building and training programs, the values focused on often becomes ambiguous. But despite that, we as an organisation strive to always include these eight values in everything we do. We aim at directly or indirectly educating not just the employees, but also the employers. Team building are about building motivation, increasing productivity and making every interaction lively. In our virtual and physical programs, we strive to make the environment optimistic that yields benefits for both the organisation and the employees and energises the participants.

Before everything is done and dusted, we conduct an evaluation survey on the impact of our programs on an organisation. This further helps to devise better plans and see what works the best.

Team Building

Employees work harder when engaged! Team Building focuses on fulfilling the non-monetary needs of employees. These could be needs to build trust, bonding, friendship and understanding within employees since having healthy professional relations plays an important role. This engagement can be one to one where the seniors and the leaders interact regularly with the employees on an individual basis. In the present times, team building activities can be

• Virtual

• In office

• Off site

The idea stays the same while the method of execution changes.

In order to maintain a healthy balance, both team based activities and personal interactions should be taken care of. Team building activities can also focus on the organizational goals and values.

Trainings

Keeping one up to date with the skills required is crucial but very difficult for working professionals. As a responsible employer, an organization should regularly conduct training sessions to upskill its employees. These can be development of values and soft skills like:

• Team spirit

• Networking

• Communication

Or hard skills and awareness on material topics like:

• Personal Finance

• Technology

• Environment and business

These training sessions can be conducted either as a speaker session or an interactive talk depending upon requirements.

Making your employees happy is no child's play but is not a rocket science either. You just need your employees, you and our employee engagement for a successful attempt at team building.

We, at TeamWork India not only provide employee engagement services but we will also do an assessment for you to see whether the activities are doing the job or not.

We are offering pro bono consulting to some corporates to guide you on what would work best for you.

If you would like to consult us or book an activity, reach us through a mail or call and we will schedule a meeting.
